Bracknell Primary School Reunion
On Saturday 22nd October we travelled up to Bracknell for their reunion. The country school looked so nice, neatly painted and well looked after playground and equipment. The school overlooks lovely green pastures and a dam with a small amount of snow on the day. Luckily we were all prepared for the weather.
There were many varieties of activities throughout the day, even the Parliamentarians. The Tractor Trek group called in for a visit from the North West Coast. One of the competitions was student and Parliamentarians throwing raw eggs to each other, luckily no one had egg over their clothes, only on the ground. The children certainly used their imagination making animals and people out of fruit and vegetables.
Members attending were Joan & Kelvin Fielding, Karyn & Derryl Haines & Zac, Heather & Pat Harris, Nigel Boyd, Graeme Howard, Neil Broomhall, Robin Daking, Steve & Christine Scott, Deborah & Wayne Wood.
There was a nice array of exhibits from the club – tractors, cross cut saw, old washing machine, wood heater, an Irish chain saw, punishment chair, trains & carriages and memorabilia. One member was heard to say that the “Punishment Chair” would be an ideal piece of equipment for all Politicians!! (to use) The school children were impressed with the chair. A lovely day had by all.
